Thayne and Barb Frost reside near the campground in
Livermore Falls.
Thayne is a caretaker/maintenance worker and often works as a camp
counselor
during the summer months.
While Barb homeschools all four children, she also
assists her husband
in the ministry in whatever capacity she can, but is mostly dedicated
to
ministering to her family.

Their Ministry
|
Thayne’s responsibilities
with Child Evangelism Fellowship®
of
Maine at Camp Good News®
are to support the other missionaries who work here by taking care of
the
buildings and grounds. He works with Barney
Daigle to keep the new building, which houses the camp dining hall,
kitchen, and bathrooms as well as the Offices
for
CEF’s State Director, Secretary and Program Directors, up and
running.
Thayne and Barney work together to keep the building clean, the trash
picked
up and the lightbulbs new. They keep the snow shoveled and plowed and
the
walkways cleared
This winter, they have been working on building an ice rink that will
be
used by neighborhood children and Good News Club children from the area
for playing hockey and ice skating.
During the summer, Thayne helps to keep the grounds and buildings of
the
campground in good shape so that many boys and girls who have never
heard
about the Lord Jesus can learn of Him, be safe and have fun! He has
also
served as a counselor, a fishing instructor and a woodworking
instructor.
During the week, Thayne leads flag raising. We like to help
young
people learn to respect our country.
This past summer, about
620
children came to Camp Good News. Of
those 620 children,
43 children asked Jesus Christ to be their Savior
from sin, and
42 made decisions to let the Lord Jesus direct
their
lives.
Barb assists in
the ministry by writing monthly newsletters that inform friends and
supporters
about events in their lives and any prayer requests they might
have.
She also sends monthly donor notes to those who support their ministry
financially. During the summer, she is in charge of the prayer partner
ministry. Every camper has a prayer partner who prays for them
while
they are at camp; Barb sends out the letters to the prayer partners,
giving
them names and ages of children to pray for. Then when children write
thank
you notes on Thursdays, she sends these letters to the prayer partners.
She and the children also help with the CEF State mailings that go out
every quarter. |
