Evangelism and Discipleship Programs
- Weekly After-school Good News Clubs are on the
increase. In 2008 fifty-one clubs were held in schools throughout
Maine. Churches are adopting their local school and developing a team
to teach these clubs. Good News Clubs are also held in homes
throughout
the school year. The program is Bible centered with a Bible lesson,
Bible verse, songs, contests and review games. Training and materials
are available.
- Summer clubs for children, teaching the Gospel
message in
backyards. Simple but attractive one-hour program. Training and
materials are available
or a trained summer missionary team can teach the club.
PARTY CLUBS
- Party Clubs are a special monthly outreach around the
Holidays.
An
evangelistic
club kit is designed for the particular holiday. Training for
such
a ministry is available in your local area.
FAIRS
MINISTRY
- A Chapel on Wheels, Good News
Gables, Wynn Wagon, Good
News Caboose or a C.E.F. tent can be seen at fairs across Maine. A
simple Gospel message is given
through movies, Bible stories, the Wordles Book or face painting.
Trained
staff counsel children who respond to the Gospel invitation.
CAMP GOOD NEWS®
CEF operates a full summer program of camping
in East
Livermore. Circle
L graciously gave us this campground in 1991. A volunteer staff from
all
over Maine and other states assists the full-time staff to make a
spiritually
profitable,
exciting, and safe week of camp for children. Six weeks are for
children ages 8-13 and one week is for teens ages 14-16.
DAY CAMPS
Day Camps are conducted through-out the state
during July and August. They are organized and run by a C.E.F. worker
and folks from local churches. Great Bible times and fun
activities make for a wonderful outreach in the community.
