OUR PURPOSE
Child Evangelism Fellowship® has a threefold
purpose for all of its ministries:
-
1. Evangelize children
-
2. Disciple children
-
3. Establish them in fellowship with the church.
As we have worked with children in recent years, we have been
confronted
with the fact that vast numbers of children are not having basic needs
met. Not only are they uncared for spiritually, they are also uncared
for,
neglected and abused in most every area of their lives.
The fact is that effective evangelism must be done in the context of
true
caring for the individual in every way. Thus, we have had a growing
desire
to provide a means of caring for needy children beyond the one hour Good
News Club® program.
So, what is the Neighborhood House ministry? It is a home in a needy
area
of Belfast where children are invited to come. There are Good News Clubs®
and activities planned for each age group. Beyond that, the staff are
on
hand full-time to meet the needs of the children as they seek to
exemplify
the Christian life before them.

OUR PERSONNEL

OUR PROGRAM
The program consists of both structured and unstructured activities.
The
structured activities include Good
News Clubs® and activity times for various
age
groups once each week. The unstructured time includes keeping the
Neighborhood
House open for the children to come whenever they feel a need for adult
friendship, help or protection.
One program which is consistently provided each year includes giving
each
child a chance to earn his or her way to a week of Christian
summer
camp. Some of these ways include memorizing Scripture and participating
in work projects around the home.
The children do not live at the Neighborhood House, only the full time
staff do. The children come by invitation to planned activities
supervised
by the staff.

OUR PRAYER NEED
Every ministry of CEF® is in need of God’s
blessing
and power. There is nothing that we can do as an organization or as
individual
workers which will accomplish spiritual results in the lives of
children.
Only God’s working in us and through us can do that.
As we seek to follow God’s leading in this ministry, we expect to
confront
the Enemy in many ways. Victory over the Enemy is available but not
automatic.
It must be won through spiritual warfare.
Your ministry with us through prayer is most vital. You can join us in
seeking God’s blessing and power. You can join us in battling the Enemy
through prayer.
