Thayne and Barb have been in ministry with various CEF offices since 1988. They raised their four children helping at Camp Good News and now two of those children are in CEF as well!

Both Thayne and Barb felt the Lord's call into ministry early.

"As a sophomore in high school, I saw the Unusual Films on the Life of Robert Sheffey. The Lord used that film to challenge me to give my heart to Him for whatever He wanted to do with my life. God opened doors for me to be able to go to New Brunswick Bible Institute. While there I saw God leading me into CEF.

While reading Evangelizing Today’s Child (a CEF Publication), I learned about their CEF Leadership Training Institute. I wrote in for more information, and first met with Mr Romano. I worked with Nancy Buzzell and Trisha Clark, in Eastern Maine for a year, then had the opportunity to attend CEF LTI. While there, I met Barb and we were married soon after.
