Hi my name is Barney and this is my wife Debbie. We have been working with C.E.F. of Maine for the past 25 years. In 1994 we moved to the C.E.F. Neighborhood House in Belfast, Me., working with impoverished children in that area and spent the next 5 years serving the children there. In 1999 God open the door for me to work at Camp Good News in Livermore Falls, as the Maintenance Director where I used my God given gifts to build up the Campground to be a safe place for the children. In 2019 I passed my position of Maintenance Dir. to Jeremy Brown (who was hired two years prior for this very purpose) so I could take up the reins as Business Manager for all of C.E.F. of Maine. This position allows me to oversee the business aspects and build on our web presence, maintain the computers and networks for the campground complex.

And I am Debbie his wife and life long partner, both being born and raised Fort Kent, Maine.  We have 4 beautiful girls and 11 grandchildren.  I have taught Good New Clubs for over 36 years and have been involved with Camp Good News for over 25 years in different capacities. Some of those include being a Lifeguard, WSI, Outdoor Living Skills teacher and coordinator designing some of the O.L.S. curriculum, designing the gardens and such around C.G.N. I LOVE being a wife, mother and grandmother most of all, out of everything the Lord has used me for these past years and is the highlight of my walk with God. I believe this is the highest calling of any wife and mother, to love and support her husband (even when I don’t agree with him). And as a Mom and Memere (Grandma) to love and support those He has placed under my care, parenting does not stop when kids become adults and start their own families. Prov. 31:10 – 31 is the scripture that I have tried and continue to try to model my life after. Debbie
